What happens if my tenant stops paying rent or causes trouble?

Our intensive tenant screening process usually prevents issues like this from happening. However, if an issue does arise, we always respond quickly and sternly. Rent is due on the 1st of the month. If rent has not been paid by the 15th of the month we serve a Notice to Quit whereby a tenant is legally on notice that we will begin the eviction process if they don’t immediately pay all due rent.  Nuisance issues are handled similarly with a warning being given before a notice is issued. We work with a local attorney when legal action is needed.
